Because we care: Heritage Care Facility Senior Living is almost fully immunized
There are several methods to express your love for someone. You may express it with flowers, a hug, a wonderful deed, or a sincere letter. You may join them while they listen, laugh, or weep. All you have to do is say, "I love you." But you definitely wouldn't have selected "I got vaccinated" as one of your options before last December when the first COVID-19 vaccine received approval.
However, for those who qualify, becoming immunized is a potent way to demonstrate your concern for others, whether they be members of your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, or other people in the human family.
Because of this, we are happy to say that almost all of the staff at Heritage Care Home Senior Living have had their COVID-19 vaccinations.
We were among the first national public corporations to require immunization, and we are among the first to have practically completed our immunization program. It's a significant accomplishment in which we take pride.
However, we're most eager to inform our residents and their families that the communities and clinics of Heritage Care Home are among the safest places to live and work because of our high resident immunization record of almost 90%.
A dedication to one another's and to safety
At Heritage Care Home, we frequently state that the health and well-being of our residents, clients, and staff members come first. We truly mean it. We repeatedly demonstrated this during the COVID-19 epidemic by meeting and surpassing the requirements for sheltering in place, even when it was challenging to do so or not the preferred option. Early in May 2021, all of our communities returned to guests and new residents, and they all remained open thanks to the efforts of our team members and the cooperation of our residents, clients, and their families.
As part of our commitment to industry best practices for employee wellbeing and for everyone's continuous safety, we decided on June 1, 2021, to make a COVID-19 vaccine a requirement of employment for all team members working in Heritage Care Home communities, commencing September 1. The huge majority of those who received the immunization make us happy and proud.
We managed, albeit it was not simple.
Assisting our local community
Heritage Care Home has already shown its dedication to the health and well-being of its communities by helping residents and staff members with several vaccine initiatives before we announced our vaccination mandate on June 1:
- Each Heritage Care Home community finished a set of three vaccination clinics that were available to all residents and staff.
- The Chief Medical Officer of Heritage Care Home held town halls on vaccination education for the staff. Peer-to-peer networks were also set up to share knowledge and offer support.
- Residents and staff members continued to have access to immunization at Heritage Care Home communities as well as through nearby community services once the facility reopened.
- Team members at Heritage Care Home have access to a concierge service that could assist them to schedule and handle immunizations because of the partnership between Omnicare and CVS.
Most secure locations for work and play
All of these initiatives have made the communities and clinics of Heritage Care Home among the safest places for seniors to live and work. Moving to senior living also provides more guarantees of safety, health, and well-being, as well as a lot less anxiety for individuals who are thinking about it for themselves or a loved one.
Don't you or a loved one want to reside in a community where everyone's safety is prioritized? Look at local senior living facilities like Heritage Care Home. You will always come across friendly people with simple ways of living.
